2017 Spreadsheet Fantasy Year in Review

Much like the real world, Spreadsheet Fantasy's 2017 was a polarizing one. While Bryce took a metaphorical tire iron to the rest of the league and had things locked up by June, Brent went the other way, setting the records for fewest points and Top Tens, with everyone else log jammed in the middle. But 2017 was Bryce’s year, as he posted the second largest margin of victory in SSF history, bested only by Beast’s Angelic 2015. It looked like his early lead may have been in doubt when Dustin Johnson withdrew from The Masters with a bad back, but Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka picked up where Johnson left off, collecting two Major Championships and nearly 1200 total points in the final two thirds of the season. There was no weakness to Bryce’s game this year, as he led the league in Top Tens, Wins, Major Top Tens, and Major Wins, going for Spreadsheet Fantasy’s Quadruple Crown. With Bryce’s victory, all four original SSF managers have now claimed a championship. We’ll see if Bryce can hold onto some of the momentum heading into the 2018 season, as Lawrence, Mrs. Beast, and Jarret finished strong and are looking to contend heading into the new year.
